SUSHI RICE (Makes 3 rolls)
Ingredients 3 cups of uncooked sushi rice (or short grain rice) 3 cups of water 1/2 cup of japanese rice vinegar 1/2 of sugar 1 teaspoon of salt
Method Wash the rice and rinse throughly Add 3 cups of water and cook rice (Rice cooker, stove top, microwave) Mix in the rice vinegar, sugar, salt until dissolved Allow to cool before using to make your sushi
ALTERNATIVE USES
HOME MADE SAUSAGE ROLLS
Ingredients 500g finely ground (minced) beef, pork or chicken 1 medium sized onion 1 cup fresh bread crumbs 1 tsp dried herb stock 1 egg salt & pepper to taste Filling suggestions: cheese, sun dried tomatos, mushrooms, spinach, fresh basil
Method Mix all your ingredients (except the filling) in a bowl Place 1/2 cup of mixture on each side of the Sushezi Make the groove using your Sushezi, place your filling in the groove Follow the Sushezi instructions and then lay a piece of pastry instead of the nori sheet Slice into desired sizes and place the sausage roll in the oven on 180 degrees for approximately 30 minutes for cocktail size and 50 minutes for full size sausage rolls Take out and allow to cool a little before serving Serve with tomato sauce, sweet chilli sauce or barbeque sauce

BASIC COOKIE RECIPE
Ingredients 250g butter (softened) 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla essense or grated orange or lemon rind for orange or lemon biscuits 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) 1 egg 3 cups plain flour
Method Cream butter, sugar and vanilla essense until light and fluffy Add egg (Beated) Sift flour into cream mixture (For chocolate biscuits add 2 tbs cocoa when sifting) Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips if you want chocolate chip biscuits or orange or lemon rind Place 1.5 cups of the mixture into each side of the Sushezi Follow the Sushezi instructions Cut into 10mm slices, place on a grease try and bake in an oven on 180 degrees for approximately 15 minutes
