Selleys acquires Hillmark Appliance Cleaning Solutions

We are delighted to announce that Selleys Pty Limited has acquired the Hillmark Appliance Cleaning Solutions brand and product range. The Hillmark range of high quality specialist cleaners will be an excellent addition to the Selleys portfolio of cleaning chemicals.

Selleys has taken another step closer towards achieving its goal of becoming the leading player in the specialty household cleaning category with the acquisition of the Hillmark brand of appliance cleaning solutions. As of Monday 17th November 2008, the integration of the Hillmark cleaning products business into Selleys’ existing infrastructure was made operational.

“Like Selleys, Hillmark products are high quality premium lines that have a strong position in corporate grocery and hardware channels,” said Tony Bova, Selleys Business Manager ANZ.

The Hillmark acquisition brings approximately 25 new products to the Selleys portfolio of products and gives Selleys a solid base and relationship with appliance retailers such as Harvey Norman, Retravision, The Good Guys and Betta Electrical. The acquisition also opens opportunities in other markets and allows Selleys to expand their distribution channels both nationally and internationally. Hillmark has comprehensive, nation-wide distribution throughout leading department, electrical, hardware & homeware stores as well as leading supermarkets. This includes Myer, David Jones, Bunnings, Coles and Woolworths. In addition to Australia, agents and distributors in a number of countries are growing Hillmark’s already significant export business, including New Zealand, UK and South Africa.

For over 20 years, Hillmark has maintained it’s status as a leading force in the appliance cleaner market, and in this time has built a reputation second to none, servicing national and international markets. It was a small company whose continuing success & growth was founded on an enthusiastic & team-focused environment. Selleys have successfully recruited members of the original Hillmark team from sales and marketing to dedicate their expertise and knowledge of the Hillmark products, markets and customers to Selleys in order to capture growth and opportunities for the Hillmark brand.
